Pastoral council members are chosen by election

The principal function of the Pastoral Council is to serve as
an advisory group to the pastor to enhance, guide, and
suggest ways of fulfilling the parish mission. The Pastoral
Council makes recommendations for the good of the parish community;
therefore, its membership should include a broad cross section of the parish
including age, gender, skills and talents.

• Attend a monthly meeting
• Serve as a liaison to a parish committee or serve as an executive member
• Offer active and prepared participation in council meetings
• Be actively involved as a leader in the parish life and development
• Oversee the Vibrant Parish Plan
• Make a three-year commitment
